Rocks Unit: Rock clock activity

We love this simple activity for reinforcing your child’s understanding of how to tell time—and for taking our school outdoors!

Paint numbers 1-12 on each rock.

Once it dries, help your child to arrange the numbers in clock order. Then use two sticks (one short and one longer) to show them how to make time to the hour. If they’re ready for more, work on making time in five minute increments.
