Did you know macaw’s have a bone in their tongue? It helps them to crack open nuts and seeds, which make up much of their diet in the wild. Now let’s make a macaw craft that can soar in the emergent layer of our rainforest diorama. 🦜
What you need:
- our macaw template
- construction paper
- rainbow feathers (you could also make your own out of construction paper)
- mini googly eyes (optional)
- glue
What to do:
Print out our macaw template and use it to cut out a body (red paper) and a beak and feet (yellow paper) for your macaw.
Glue the beak and feet onto the body of the macaw.
Using rainbow feathers, add a wing and colorful tail to your macaw. Finally, add a googly eye.
Add your macaw to your rainforest diorama!
