Forest Unit: Macaw Template

Did you know macaw’s have a bone in their tongue? It helps them to crack open nuts and seeds, which make up much of their diet in the wild. Now let’s make a macaw craft that can soar in the emergent layer of our rainforest diorama. 🦜

What to do:

Print out our macaw template and use it to cut out a body (red paper) and a beak and feet (yellow paper) for your macaw.

Glue the beak and feet onto the body of the macaw.

Using rainbow feathers, add a wing and colorful tail to your macaw. Finally, add a googly eye.

Add your macaw to your rainforest diorama!
